Thank you to Jackie McFadden, Carolina Marsh Tacky Association Secretary, for her "unstoppable persistance" in the passage of the State Hertiage Horse bill, and thank you to Representative Gary Simrill, Senator Was Hayes, Governor Mark Sanford, South Carolina Daughters of the American Revolution, South Carolina Daughters of the Confederacy, South Carolina Horsemen's Council, Marsh Tacky owners, enthusiasts, and all who supported the bill.  A special thanks goes to Representative Catherine Scarborough for drafting the first State Horse bill in 2005 in memory of her father who hunted on Marsh Tackies.
 
July 28, 2010 - Ceremonial Bill Signing at the SC Statehouse.
 
June 11, 2010 - Signed into Law.
 
June 7, 2010 - Ratified.
 
June 1, 2010 - The State Heritage Horse Bill passed the House and is enrolled for ratification.
